Crater Lake

So on Thrusday we headed up to Crater lake, the entrance was 6 miles from our camp site, and Then the crater it self was another 10 or so miles from there. So not that far away.  We where camped at 5500 feet, the crater is 7500 feet.

From our camp site we could see Mt. Thesien. and across the lake a small hill both with snow still on them.  But nothing like what we saw at Crater lake LOL

The loop around the Rim of the crater is like 38 miles long but part of it is still closed do to 10 feet of snow pack.

We stopped for lunch, the kids decided to eat with thier feet in the snow LOL

This is the view from where we stopped to have lunch.

Oh, so pretty. I love scenes like that.

Now I would have been more impressed if they had eaten lunch with their butts in the snow instead of their feet.

Doris, I am glad you had such a good time. What a pretty place. Was it cold? That would be a wonderful card.

In ref to comm. Yes I agree kids can and do learn two sets of rules. The dad does set the rules. They just believe he is a puppet and I am the master when it comes to rules. But before we married I was very cautios and I tried to go over every possible issue. I even took notes and made him sign them. I do not like changing rules. I am not inflexible. But some things are black and white. And being consistant is crucial. And never say anything you do not mean. If you do, admit it and apoligize. Thank you for all of your help. As you know it is a hard spot. And sometimes I just have to shift positions. Have a great day.

What gorgeous photos! I bet we'll see those in National Geographic sooner than you know! I love to go on vacation where there is beautiful scenery, it just makes you realize how much of God's creatures we are. Hey, could you change your website on your comments made in spaces to your new blog so it can be clicked on it in an instant? Right now it is taking me to the old site.
