Boy are so much fun! You just never know what they will bring home next! I have had all sorts of things end up in my house, from frogs, to snakes, to GIANT spiders to nutria skulls ( muskrat). Well Friday was no exception.
Jesse and his best friend Headed out after school to our little park thing down the road.  It has paved paths for walking and biking and a few picnic tables. and a stream the runs through the middle of it.

So they come running in the house all excited! We caught a Leach  WOOHOO we got a leach!  Now we don't really have leaches in these parts. So I knew right away with out looking that this would not be a leach! not to mention they found it in fresh running water LOL  But they were very excited at their thoughts!

I took one look at this little thing in their make shift aquarium. It was an eel of some sort. So we did some research on line and figured out exactly what it was.  Now for the life of me i can not remember the name, but they move from fresh water to salt water and back to fresh to spawn just like many fish.


Unfortunatly he did not make it through the night!
