WOW

What  long couple of days but so fun fun fun!

Yesterday was Art Lit for the 8th graders, we did Africa Adorned. The other gal I worked with Gave a presentation on 2 of the African Tribes. We talked about culture, and how their jewelery, face painting, and art work play in to the life and culture.  THey girls were appalled at the fact the men can take as many wives as he can support, but that the women could not take more then one man lol

To day my Mother in law came out and we headed to my local Fairgrounds to the Holiday Craft Bizarre. I got all the Nieces Christmas shopping done WOOHOOO!!!!!! Not much there for teenage boys LOL.  So now besides moms and dads ( mine and hubbies) I just need to do my 2 boys and my 2 nephews and I will be done shopping for kids.

In  a little bit we are going to go buy a prelit tree! I am so tired of putting lights on the tree LOL not to mention our tree is about 12 years old. It is time for a new one!

I do have to say though after all these years It still looks real once I am done putting it up and decorating it.

On to todays Art work

I'm in a christmass mood today so I thought I would share this  ( i'm sure I posted it on my old blog but not this one)

I have seiriously thought about having this printed up for my christmas cards this year.

What an awesome picture. I know what you mean about lights. I bought a pre-lit tree when I was single so that I could do it all myself, no messing with getting a real tree in and cut down to size and all that man strength needed to haul it. So I had my cute little pre-lit for a year and then guess what? I find this man that I end up marrying and he adores real trees. He knows it's his duty to put the lights on it and all, but I hate the fact that we've killed a tree. Then I think to myself it would have been killed anyway, the lot had it already chopped of you know. So I just tuck away the negative and enjoy the smell of our new tree that I didn't have to pack in the house or put the lights on that are now shining on it.

I have an idea Doris...you always take such beautiful photos of things...just for fun, what if you took a photo of the inside of your turkey, before it gets stuffed? Wouldn't that be an odd photo? And the things you could do with it, to the ribs, put little lights inside, and so on. Whatcha think? For me?

Wonderful picture! I love the way little drops of light are snowing all over it, and I can distinguish a ghostly figure in the background... nice
