Winter is here!

It snowed off and on all night and most of this morning, but it didn't look any worst then a deep frost out there when we got up.  By 10 it was all melted away!

Good thing I got out to shoot before it melted!

I don't know if any of you remember my shots from this summer, where i was playing with magnification and soft focus. But I decided to try this style to day on the frosty flowers but way less light then we had over the sumer.
I know this style is not for everyone but I really enjoy it.

Hope you enjoy! the next few days will be shots from my front yard.

I'm starting with my favorite.

Very pretty! I miss snow. Well, in theory I miss snow. I don't know that I'd want to drive on it or have to bundle up that much, again, but I would love to make a snowman with my son. He's ten, and has only seen snow falling once or twice - never enough to make even a small snowball out of it.

Nice effect. Quite unusual since I don't expect flowers in full bloom while snowing.

What I like is how you went out there and took advantage of the conditions to get some shots in and made sure that they weren't cliche'. Nice work, Doris.
