WInter Storms
So the PNW had a Winter storm roll in last night. Only half the teams for the wrestling match showed up ( 2 times as many as I thought would LOL ) The power started going out on our way home. It was weird it was like following us down the road. When we got home our house with with out power. We went somewhere around 20 hours with out electricity. Luckily we have gas hot water heater so we retained our hot water, and a fire place. So we could stay warm, do dishes and take showers LOL
I took my husband to work this morning so the boys and I could get some running around done sine the schooled where closed because of the after mess of the storm. Silly me left the house without my camera! Oh well I'm sure you all have seen the aftermath of a wind storm. We only got to 60 mile per hour gusts here. the coast was having 100 to 117 mph gusts.
So you will get a peace of art I created this week.

PS I'm so glad we took out those 2 tree's a couple months ago! they would have been in the neighbors yard for sure!

Just catching up a little on your blog - I just love this piece, and the ones before it too, but this one best. You wouldn't believe how many people stop and examine closely your artwork on their way out our door. They always love them and are so intrigued. Which of course is why I love them too. I bought a nifty nitter last year and made one hat - that was it, lol. Then my little hook thingie broke and I never replaced it.

This is a beautiful creation, Doris!
So glad your power wasn't out for long and that is such good news about the water heater! When our power goes, we have no water, hot or cold.

Nice one! I like how the petal is "bleeding" out of the frame. Cool.

I heard about that storm from my sister who lives in Seattle, only I didn't know it was out your way too. Glad you are safe!
Sorry it's taken me so long to stop by! I haven't really been proactive on WW as of late, meetings really do help I'm proof of that. I asked for a scale for Christmas and it probably won't be looking to good by then!
Congrats on your weight loss, I bet you've gotten your 30 star by now!
