Never thought it would be so hard......
The boys leave tonight for Snow Rescue training. They needed snow gloves. We don't' get much snow where we live, and well we don't ski or do any other snow sport. So we don't have snow type gloves.
We head for Joe's, they are a sporting goods store, with a large winter sport section. We walk in head for the hats and gloves and all they have are knit gloves and mitten. UMMM hello! we have the largest snow fall in who knows how long up on the mountains and they have NO snow gloves??? I walk up to customer service desk and ask. Oh No we don't have any more we are getting ready for next season! OK I get the season stuff, but still it is middle of winter and HELLO TONS of snow around the Mountains! Or and another aggravation is they never have any one on the floor to ask questions of ugggg!
So next stop REI, a bit more expensive, but at this point I guess I don't have much choice. I walk in and catch the first person i see. ( they actually have trained personal on the floors what a concept!) The guy leads me right to this huge rack of Clearance gloves and on the other side regular price stuff. So looks like they have at least a small display all year around since in Oregon we have year round skiing! So they are able to find some decent gloves on sale (still way more then i have ever paid for gloves LOL)
Now Jesse wants some gloves he can wear while out on his ride alongs. So he feels REI doesn't have a good enough selection so we have to go back to Joe's LOL
All of this on Valentines day and we had Jesse's girlfriend with us LOL she was a good sport. She did make mention of the fact that she bets she is the only girl the world spending Valentines day in a sporting goods store with her Boyfriend LOL
We drop the boys off at 5 WOOHOOO 2 nights and 2 days with out kids! LOL
Tomorrow we are headed to the Rod and Custom show with the truck club. I will take the camera and see if I can get some decent shots. After we are headed to dinner as a group.
Sunday Dave is going to work on the Bronco! Can't wait for that thing to get done! but at least there is progress now, and the weather is a bit warmer so he is not freezing to death out there LOL
Ok off to do something constructive LOL yeah I know I'm always saying that and never get anything done! LOL
Have a great weekend!
