Public Transportation GRRRRRRRRRR
It has been many years since I have had to rely on public transportation. The city I went to high school in didn't provide transportation for high school students. Unless you where disabled or bussed in from other neighborhoods. So I rod the bus a lot as a teen. But as an adult we have always had at least 1 car and If i needed it I just took dave to work.
Well as the kids get busier sometimes our schedules conflict and Dave will have to take public transportation ( ok maybe once a year LOL) and It is Jesse second most used form of transportation his bike being number 1.
On to the Rant.
Our public transportation has a web site where you can map out your rout, figure out what time you need to be at the bus stop where to transfer and so on.
A couple weeks ago we had one of those conflicts in schedule and David needed to be to PT by like 3:30 and I would pick him up after. The bus was 15 minutes late and he missed his appointment. Grrrrrr
Jesse was out with friends last night, I mapped out when He needed to leave to catch the bus then transfer to the train. We would meet him at the transit center by our house we have to wait for almost 15 minutes after his arrival time as the train wasn't there at the scheduled time. nothing like sitting in a parking lot at 10 pm at night! Well ok it can be fun watching the comings and goings of people.
Then this morning my cell rings at 6:30 Oh crap someone is sick or hurt. It is Jesse, the first bus he needed never showed up so he walked up to the next main street that he had to transfer on to. Calls me to ask me to find the schedule of when it should come. by this point he has 30 minutes to be to work. So I just got up and picked him up and took him. I was awake any way LOL
So either their web site is WAY WAY off or they don't have to keep as tight a schedule as they use to.
It is very frustrating to a teenage boy that is trying really hard to be self sufficient and very frustrating to a mom that had planed to sleep in today! LOL
Oh as I was sitting at the turn light the first bus came by! LOL he was so not happy!
Hhe would have road his bike like every other day but we are having our first fall storm this weekend so it is a bit wet and windy out and the idiots around here forget that the first rain is always slippery and nasty and they don't drive accordingly. So there will be lots of miner and not so miner accidents this weekend.

Having ridden MAX and the bus for many years I understand. They run so different on Sat and Sun too. With the gas as high as it is they people who ride public "T" they say has more then tripled. I worry about the kid waiting on a bus or max with all the issues but let hope Trimex gets it together one of these days. Speaking of sleeping in I had also planed to but at 4:30 the car alarm across the street went off and he had backed in so when his head lights flashed it was into my bedroom window. Took him forever to get it turned off. LOLOL
