So I actually rolled out of bed in time to take Levi to work at the Terra Nova Community Farm. I have been wanting to making it out there since the flowers started blooming.  I finally made it! It was cloudy and drizzly but with my trusty polarizing filter  I got a few good shots and Tons of shots good enough for my art! WOOHOOO! 

As I get time I will play with my new photo's and share them in the blogdom!

We went to the beach for the day a couple weekends ago.  We made several stops. The Butterfly house was one of them. I vow to go back one day early in the day! We went at the end of the day and the butterfly's where settling down for the night so most where seeking the warmest spots so between that and an almost dead camera it made for very few usable shots LOL 

The Devils Punch Bowl seems to be the place for surfers to hang out.

I'm going to get up early tomorrow and take Levi to work so I can retry the photo shoot of the flowers on the farm! Wish me luck! LOL 

We figured out I put about 80 mile on my truck today LOL between Newburg and Hillsboro

I took Levi to school, ran to the SO to drop some stuff off, on the way home I stopped at Office Depot. as leaving Office Depot I  took a back road I have taken many times, and some how got lost in the middle of a neighborhood I had never been in before LOL finally found my way to Main st, headed east to get to the gas station, my gas gage was starting to panic LOL I Stopped by home thinking I would have a an hour or so at home NOPE the boy says come pick me up early LOL So I run to Shannon house to drop some stuff off, I leave and realize 5 blocks away I gave her the wrong stuff LOL back I go. heheh give her the correct stuff, head up to Levi's work.

 I took my camera and my big lens up to take photo's of the beautiful flowers on the farm.  The damn thing won't work! it says the battery is 1/4 to 1/3 full but it won't turn the LCD screen on or take a photo in manual or auto focus. I was not a happy camper I have been looking forward to this photo shoot for a while!  So after i'm not so angry at it LOL  I will put a freshly charged battery in it ( that I of coarse forgot to take with me ugggg)  And hope it works!  I sure the hell don't have the money to replace it and I would if had to use my point and shoot but it's just not the same as my dSLR. 

Levi gets done with work so we head of to a meeting in Newburg.  We end up about an hour early, that is so my luck. I'm always worried about being late so I over estimate the time needed to travel. We stopped in at my dad and step moms for a bit to pass time, I get the call the person we are meeting with is ready to meet. 

We spent about 3 hours catching up with our friend/Head coach and discussing Levi becoming head coach for the middle school team.  He has some Big shoes to fill but he can do it if he really wants to!  Levi has been asst. coach for about 3 years now,  I have been the team manager ( reads as paper pusher LOL) for the same length of time I told him I will stick with him this year, but i'm giving my notice I won't be back full time next year.  I will help if needed but we need to find someone else to do the job.  It was fun but it's time to move on. 

Thats my day in a nut shell!

So now I'm home relaxing for a bit, before I go throw some laundry in so I have a Clean work shirt for tomorrow! If you are in Hillsboro stop by Century High school and check out the K-9 Trials  Should be a fun filled day!

Well I was going to post some photo's of the butterfly's in the butterfly house we went to a couple weekends ago but my computer is being a pain in the back side so you will just have to wait! 

 

I sent out several e-mails today OY!  one I sent out had the PIO for WCSO in the to, and it should not have gone to him LOL poor guy was probably looking at it thinking what is this person talking about ???? OY!  then I sent one that was suppose to have an attachment and guess what I forgot?  OY!  so had to resend that one with the attachment!  Thankfully the last one I took my time and really made sure it was going to who it needed to go to with the attachments it needed to have LOL 

I don't mind the rain I have lived in the PNW all my life. It is just part of life around here. BUT this year we are having February type rain and wind, and all the flowers and gardens are being beaten to death with these storms.  The farm at Levi's school is not faring much better.  Not to mention it makes it hard to get out and shoot photo's when the wind and rain are beating you to death! It must have hailed for 30 to 45 minutes yesterday.. 

Looks like it may be somewhat dry on Monday! WOOHOOO! maybe some yard work will get done! 

I guess I will just have to day dream of my sunny days past! and hope the come again soon

We helped some friends move today, I got my work out in, and was able to use the left over energy to get the dishes done before I sat and stiffened up heheheh...

I guess I should start with my first post in a year with some photo's  

Dave went fishing today and I hung out with him and wandered around shooting the little fluffy things in the water.

This was my favorite thing of the day. He/she was beautiful!  It just floated there while I took my photo's just watching me but not bothering to uncurl.

We know kids have toys boxes but today I was thinking about all the toy errr Tool boxes men have LOL this being one of them. 

This guy plopped right on down 10 feet from me.. He didn't seem one bit worried about Dave and I. He let me get with in 5 feet of him while taking photo's. I got one of him flying away but it is out of focus
