When I took this photo I was just snapping shots of the bed of them, I found this after i got home and starting looking through them. I fell in love!

Today was Adventures in the rain day LOL When you live in the Pacific Northwest you learn to do activities in the rain.. If not you would never get to do anything as it tends to rain off and on all year around.

We hit the farmers market and hung out at The Peace of Soap booth for a while, wondered around for a while, hit up New Seasons across the parking lot then went back to hand out at Peace of Soap.

The best part of going out in the rain is only other Die hard Pacific North westerns are out. I wear boots and a rain coat if cool enough but a lot of people still wear flip flops and shorts LOL Dave was in shorts and a rain coat LOL

Sunrise in the Garden

Ok it was a little later then sunrise but it made for a good title! LOL

Fall is in full bloom today. Rain and according to what I hear on the scanner people still don't know that you need to take it easy with wet roads after a few dry days OY!

Seasons

Fall is in the Air! Oh wait I'm in NW Oregon we didn't have a summer this year we had a Spring right in to Fall season ok in all honestly we had about 3 days of summer, thats 2 less then normal! LOL

I came across this photo while going through some old ones. I just love it! I took it a few years ago when we had more snow then we usually see in 2 or 3 winters. I took it through my car window while moving. It is one of my all time favorite winter pictures I have.

When people ask me what my favorite season is, I can't pick just one. There is something in each season I love. So I look forward to each one.

I am hoping we will have a nice white winter this year ( I am ducking and hiding under my desk so I can't be hit with the rocks that are now being thrown at me!) I love the snow, it is so beautiful and peaceful feeling, and well it can be fun to play in

What I love about each season

Winter: I love the long evening with a fire going, the possibility of snow we don't get much here but it is just as exciting to hope it will snow as it is when it really does snow.

Spring: I love spring because the birds and animals return, the days store to get warming and the sun comes out more. The flowers start to poke out from the ground, leaves start growing tender and green. Leaving my windows open

Summer: I love the long days, the beautiful flowers and birth of the baby animals. Getting out of the house and enjoying natures. These days we spend more time at the beach, uses to be the gorge or the Mountains.

Fall: The cooling temps, the thought of the holiday season, harvest time, the change in the leaves, from great to the beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. Drinking Hot tea instead of Ice tea. choosing pumpkins for Halloween! Yep I'm almost 40 and I still love going to the pumpkin patch!

I'm sure I have left out tons of things for each season but that gives you an idea.

I was Introduced to The Peace Of Soap Company about a year or so ago. I have not looked back! Store bought chemical laden soaps are a thing of the past in this family.

The Peace Of Soap Company was created and owned by a Native Oregonian who hand crafts all her products right in her own kitchen. The owner is a herbalist and uses her talents to make sure her hand crafted artisan soaps smell wonderful and have a purpose. The artisan always thinks about what we need in a soap be it for dry skin, Eczema, oily skin and more as well as Shampoo bars for different hair/scalp types.

The Peace of Soap Company offers a year round product line as well as a Seasonal line. This seasons scents are Malled Apple Cider, Spiced Pumpkin and Ginger Bread. Some of the year around products include Anise & Activated Charcoal this smells like black Licorice, Peppermint Tea Tree, Goats Milk and Honey, Chunky Monkey ( chocolate and Banana), Good Karma and Mountain Man, Oatmeal Eczema RX, and others.

These soaps smell WONDERFUL! I tell you I sometimes leave my shower hungry from the smell of the Chunky Monkey, I have to remind my self they are not eatable. My Nephew at 9 months! he just turned 7 OY! where has the time gone!!!

I have added a Photo Gallery on the web site.. As I state on the site I am no where near a professional but I like sharing photo's i like or mean something to me..

Changes

So I have been changing my blog and Web site so they mirror each other in look. I have added a navigation bar to my blog so it appears to just be part of the web site. Everything opens in the same page even though they are 2 different sites.

I keep thinking about dropping the web site as I don't keep up on it much, even less them my blog LOL but the emails that go with it i have had for so long I don't want to change it everywhere OY!

So if you get a chance take a look see what you think.

More flowers from the farm and my ramblings.

a few photoshop and flaming pear filters to make a paining.

We went over to Madge's to do some clean up work for her from tree trimming. Levi was busy with the chain saw cutting branches in to burnable lengths. He went to lift the tarp off the wood pile to through some of the cut up pieces on it and he found a wasp's next. poor kid got stung 5 times before it was over. Dave got stung once on the back of the head. I had to pull the stinger out of that one.

Made for a short work day LOL They are going to kill the next this week and we will head back out next weekend.

I use to blog to share my art/photography and to keep the family up to date on the family. Now we are all on facebook so it makes it harder to come up with blog entries LOL guess I will have to work harder at it. A few years back I had a pretty large following, now I look at my states and most of my hits are from my self when I'm writing the blog LOL It really was so much easier when the boys where younger and I could talk about the fun and silly things they did as they reach adolescents and work past the typical kid stuff. Now i'm lucky if i see them once or twice a week. I guess I should just be glad they still talk to me at their age

Ok i'm done rambling for the night. errr Morning heheh Now that my house is a disaster from me rearranging I will go to bed and hope no one kills them selves on the stuff i left out before I get up and finish eheheh

Not exactly sure what this flower is but its many petals called to my lens.

I uses some photo shop paint filters on it. Giving it a slight painterly look.

Not much going on this week, I was sick the first half of the week and took it easy the second half.

I did go out to lunch with my mom. It was nice to get out of the house but i was ready for nap when I got home LOL

This started as a white flower

I inverted it and played with curves and brightness and balance Hmm I'm thinking I should have cropped it a bit lower..

Busy busy busy around here. The SO sure has kept me moving this summer Thats just how I like it! during the school year the schools keep me busy.. Now I have stuff to do year round!

Now I need to go unload the wood in the bed of my truck so i can use it this weekend for food. hmmmm maybe I will wait tell Dave and Levi are home and let them do it for me..

Morning Break

My guess is, it's more like he had not got started for the day yet, it was still a bit cool as the clouds where still out when I was shooting.

It was so cool to have the whole farm to take my time and walk through, it is a small garden compared to some, but I didn't lack for subjects to shoot. I can go back several more times and still have stuff to shoot. The farm workers wet about their jobs while I strolled around and at times planting my rear end on the ground to get the angles I wanted.

I will have to make it back on a sunny day this time.
